Open Ended Play: Eimmie Homework Time!

Summer weather is ending, crayons, pencils, and notebooks are in all the shop windows and yellow buses circle the streets. It’s that time of year again: back to school! Many parents are now asking the question: how do you continue to provide a play environment at home which encourages creativity and curiosity like the classroom does? The Eimmie Team is here to help with back to school themed #EimmieAdventures which embrace both open ended play and questions. These techniques allow children to explore ideas and concepts in a stress-free environment as they learn and grow. Homework Eimmie would love to do homework with her best friend. She even has her own desk set! Kids can set up their homework stations with their Eimmie doll and discuss math problems, reading assignments and more together. Your kiddo can problem solve questions they have about their school work by talking aloud to Eimmie. This allows them to arrive at their own answers and develop skills in a nurturing environment. Sounds like open ended play, right? Eimmie can inspire future reading stars with her collection of novels! Eimmie’s Auntie has given her books by Jane Austen and Charlotte Bronte but Eimmie wants to know who her best friend’s favorite author is before tackling these classics! Stay tuned for more #EimmieAdventures featuring the classroom! We would love to hear from you: share your child’s favorite play scenario with the hashtag #EimmieAdventures on our Facebook page.
