4 Things You Can Do Each Day To Improve Your Dancing - Playtime by Eimmie

It's no secret that finding time to improve your dance skills can be tough. While you want to get better, it can be difficult to squeeze hours of practice into your already busy schedule.

Lucky for you, we thought of a few simple -- and almost mindless -- things you can do each and every day, without sacrificing your schedule.

Stretch every morning. Stretching daily will help you improve your dancing by making you more flexible and increasing your range of motion.

Practice muscle memory. Muscle memory is the ability to execute a movement without having to think about it. You can build your muscle memory by doing the same technique, skill, or routine over and over again. You can add this to your daily routine by doing the technique every time you go to the fridge, or maybe every time you go into the restroom.

Watch dance videos. Watching is not the same as doing, but it can be just as valuable as practice. If you watch a video with the intent to learn from it, you’ll still grow as a dancer.

Make efforts to eat better. Poor eating habits can be detrimental when trying to improve your dancing. Plan your day ahead, pack some fruits or veggies, or throw a granola bar in your bag. Sure, junk food can give you quick bursts of energy, but will ultimately make you feel weighed down which is no good. Healthier foods energize you more sustainably, and good eating habits will lead to better health in the long run.
