Something you can do to say thanks this veterans day
Write a letter to a veteran
Tis’ the season to give thanks, and who is more deserving than a Veteran!
Veterans Day reminds us to honor and cherish military veterans who served in the United States Armed Forces who risked their lives for our freedom and have now been discharged back into civilian life.
There are several ways to thank a Veteran of the United States Armed Forces. Eimmie, Allie and Kaylie have always written letters to help support and thank the military through amillionthanks.org. This organization collects and distributes millions of letters directly to active, reserve and veteran military.
A Million Thanks is currently having their Holiday letter deadline, which is December 1st and here are some of their letters:
Allie says, “Our Veterans have so much courage! They are the strongest people I know.”
Kaylie replies, “I’m so grateful for veterans giving us freedom! What a great holiday to honor those who served.”
Eimmie exclaims, “In my family, we have two veterans. They are my heroes! I can’t wait to give them my letters!”
You can join in and we encourage through these small acts of kindness. Grab a writing utensil, make a cozy spot for you and your 18 inch doll, and write a letter to a hero to show how thankful you are today!
